Once this has been measured, if a replacement shim is needed, WSRD will supply this to you for the proper lash specification. After you have gotten your new engine, or cylinder head up to operating temperatures, bled the cooling system, and have done your initial oil change, WSRD asks that you verify the valve lash spec for the final time before use.
